HLC Accreditation & Institutional Effectiveness

Building accreditation and IE systems that outlast the review.

Higher education professionals are being asked to accomplish more with fewer people, tighter budgets, and increasing accountability.

Selinko Consulting helps colleges and universities strengthen accreditation readiness, assessment, and institutional effectiveness — building practical, sustainable systems that reduce administrative burden instead of adding to it.

Experience That Comes from Doing the Work

For more than 17 years, I've led institutional effectiveness inside higher education — and, as an Assistant Provost, built it into an integrated system where assessment of student learning, institutional research, academic program review, and accreditation readiness work together as one engine of continuous improvement. The result: senior administrators and academic leaders spend their time acting on data rather than chasing down and interpreting it.

I don't simply recommend best practices. I've built them.

Why I Founded Selinko Consulting

I founded Selinko Consulting to help institutions succeed where it matters most — staying continuously ready for accreditation, building assurance arguments and comprehensive reviews that hold up to scrutiny, and connecting assessment, data, and planning into one integrated institutional effectiveness system.

Too often, accreditation is treated as a periodic emergency and IE as disconnected compliance work. I believe it should be the opposite: evidence and review woven into how your institution already operates, so continuous improvement becomes practical and sustainable — not one more thing to maintain. That's why I don't hand over a report of recommendations and walk away. I partner with your team to build systems they can own long after our engagement ends.

If that sounds like the kind of partnership you're looking for, I'd love to start a conversation.
